After hunting through instructions manuals I made up this picture in case I forgot what the knobs do.

Needle and Thread Chart

I made up this chart for myself when I first got my sewing machine, to help me try and understand needle sizes and thread sizes. I don't really use it for choosing a needle, instead just select the needle depending on what I'm sewing. I hope it helps and if they are any inaccuracy's please let me know.

An Introduction

Hi my names Tony and a couple of months ago I bought a singer 29k for my leatherwork.  I have spent ages looking around on the internet for tips and tricks. So I hope to bring them altogether here.

Heres my machine a Singer 29k58 that my wife has nicknamed Lara. Made in March of 1937 and still running strong.  I also have a table for it, that fits around the arm and lets it work more like a flat bed machine.
